Industrial-Electronic Icons ORGY Welcome Two New Members + U.S. Tour Kicks Off August 17

Electronic rock icons ORGY recently announced their upcoming “Bring Your Army” tour featuring support from MotograterBrand of Julez and the Crowned, kicking off on August 17 in Salt Lake City, UT. Joining the band on this tour will be their two new members – multi-talented guitarist, singer and producer Ilia Yordanov, and drummer, electronic music producer and DJ Ryan Browne.

New ORGY guitarist Ilia Yordanov (pronounced ileeah) was born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and grew up in San Diego, CA and Seattle, WA. Ilia began playing shows at age 13 with numerous bands until assembling his own band, Red Museum, in 2006. The band went on to release four EPs. Ilia moved to Los Angeles in 2008 and has been living and performing there for the past 10 years so he could focus on his acting career, and has predominantly remained a solo artist, producing and engineering his own musical work. Additionally, Ilia directed the video for his single, “Fire in the Middle”, released in 2016. Ilia has also supervised and composed music for film. In addition to music, Ilia regularly performs stand-up at The Comedy Store, and has self-published a book titled, Dirty Mirror Talk.

LA native Ryan Browne grew up playing drums in bands and took his playing to the professional level at 15 by playing for Jive records’ pop duo, Axiz. Ryan attended Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA) and studied drum set, Afro Caribbean hand percussion, music production, engineering and music business. Upon his early graduation, he accepted an instructor’s position at the prestigious Icon Collective music production school back in Los Angeles. Since diving into electronic music production, Ryan has released through Geffen Records, Borgore’s imprint, Buygore Records, Tommie Sunshine’s Brooklyn Fire, Pantheon, and more. He has worked alongside artists such as 2018 Grammy Award Winner Latroit, Sullivan King, Whyel, Warden, and Trentino, amongst others. He has also mixed/mastered music for 2ToneDisco, works closely with Dennis White at White House Music doing sound design and writing for sync libraries, and plays drums for genre-bending hybrid Monstercat/Mau5trap artist Grabbitz. Ryan’s diverse musical palette has earned him consistent support from major electronic publications like NestHQ, Dancing Astronaut, and Your EDM, which puts him in a unique and influential position, ready for an explosive and exciting future.

ORGY frontman Jay Gordon says, “It’s always tough when bands go through lineup changes. When it comes to the fans, sometimes it’s just gotta be done… I needed to upgrade and I knew Ilia would be the way to go for guitar – I had asked him a while back and was waiting on a call back. We’ve worked together in the past and I’m a fan, so I’m glad we waited for him. He is a sick guitar player and can totally sing, as well. He is also an actor… his superior talents will not disappoint.

“Our former drummer Bobby recently opened a music school in Orange County and we are excited for him. With the drumming position open, we quickly found Ryan Browne, a Berklee College of Music graduate and instructor at Icon Collective who specializes in colliding metal with electronic bass music and makes drum videos for his own original songs and remixes. I saw one of his videos and knew instantly that he was the guy we had been looking for. We’re only a week into rehearsals so far and both Ilia and Ryan have greatly exceeded my expectations. This is going to be an epic tour, to say the least.”

About ORGY

ORGY emerged in the Goth music scene in 1998 with their incredible remake of ‘Blue Monday’. The track sold over one million copies and is still selling 20 years later. In late 2005, after the release of Punk Statik Paranoia via D1 Music and Associates, their independent DVD TRANS GLOBAL SPECTACLE via D1 Music /DLC Records, and a promotional tour, the band went on a hiatus to work on their side projects. In 2011, after seven years of demand from fans for new music and a tour, founding member Jay Gordon (vocals) decided it was time to kick things back up and begin recording and touring again in support of ORGY‘s fans.

After several years of releasing earworm singles to the masses, ORGY has proven their long-lasting potency with a refreshed line-up and sound. The modern incarnation of ORGY has been transformed and sees the band poised to re-establish themselves in the EDM, industrial and hard rock scenes. Make no mistake about it, the ORGY brand is not going away anytime soon. As long as the fans demand new music and tours, the band is ready, willing and able to fill their request.

Greg Holden Shares New Political Anthem, “The Power Shift”

Los Angeles, CA – Critically acclaimed singer/songwriter, Greg Holden, is proud to unveil his new single, “The Power Shift,” political, call-to-action earworm and arguably, one of his most important efforts to date. Although there was no singular event or figure who inspired Holden to write “The Power Shift,” he uses the song to call out the widespread inequality many Americans endure at the hands of those in power. Listen HERE, and download and stream the track HERE.

“I was trying to manifest a collective call on the, for lack of a better word, bullshit. I think it’s important that when someone is lying to you, you call them out,” says Holden, who often uses his inherently rebellious spirit to push back against the status quo. “I was getting tired of screaming into the social media echo chamber and really wanted to put my frustrations into a song that wasn’t so toxic. I’m under no illusion that this is just a song, but it’s better than a tweet,” he adds.

While “The Power Shift” draws inspiration from the current divisive climate in the U.S., it doesn’t harp on pessimism; rather, it has an inspiring message for people to rise up, come together, and shift the power to better leaders. Ultimately, the track demands fair treatment for all, no matter their race, gender, sexuality, or socioeconomic status. It’s upbeat and catchy, yet meaningful and relevant, and an example of how the intersection of music and politics can be an impactful tool to incite change. It’s bound to be a significant song this year, given the tentative political landscape.

New Video for “On the Run” Out Now

In May, Holden returned to the music scene after nearly three years with “On The Run,” an anthemic, 80s-inspired single produced by the legendary Butch Walker (Katy Perry, Panic! At The Disco, Weezer), who also performs the song with Holden in the accompanying music video. It’s a stellar performance between the two artists, and fans can watch it HERE.

Confirmed to Support Butch Walker on Fall U.S. Tour

Holden is currently on his European headline tour, which hits notable stops in Amsterdam, Berlin, and London. This fall, he’ll head back to the states and join forces once again with Butch Walker, providing direct support on his fall U.S. run. The trek kicks off on Sept. 7th in Phoenix, AZ and concludes on Sept. 23rd in New York, NY. At the end of the year, Holden will also open for Josh Radin for a quick tour across Brazil.

Another Day’s Armor Releases Official Music Video for “Death Investing”

New York based rock / alternative metal band ANOTHER DAY’S ARMOR has released the official music video for their single, “Death Investing.” Originally premiered on BVTV Music, “Death Investing” was filmed by Alex Kouvatsos at Blackwolf Imaging.

Download / Stream “Death Investing” Online:

Death Investing - Album Cover

Another Day’s Armor is a Rock / Alternative Metal band from New York. Combining the huge, mainstream sound of arena rock with borderline metal instrumental work, the band started to create a buzz for themselves with debut singles “Reflections” and “Simple As Sin.” Coming off the momentum of the previous two singles, the band has been working on their debut EP which is set to release mid summer 2018.

“Another Day’s Armor is ready to prove that rock n’ roll belongs at the top of the billboard charts.” – Another Day’s Armor

Coming up in a time where very few bands put any emphasis into their image and persona, ADA pride themselves on standing out from the crowd both visually, and musically. With an image reminiscent of a time where rock was on top of the music world, Another Day’s Armor refuses to be just another “faceless” band, wanting their fans to feel connected to every member: Logan Manganelli – Vocals, Nick Palma – Lead Guitar, Ryan Bicknell – Rhythm Guitar, Joe Grunski – Bass, and Alec Keshishian – Drums.

Another Day’s Armor aren’t just a band, they are a movement for the future of rock.

Phoenix Band Jane N’ The Jungle Does Incendiary Title Track for Brash Indie Film SHE

PHOENIX  Popular local PHX band Jane N’ The Jungle is expanding their repertoire to film soundtracks, covering Aloe Blacc’s “The Man” as the title track for the contentious local indie flick, SHEthat has been stirring debate here in the Valley. The song was selected by the film’s director and frequent JNTJ collaborator, Will Goldstein.

“The original song is sung by a man, with male-dominated lyrics. When we perform it, the song takes on an opposing point of view,” says Jordan White, the band’s front-woman.

At a time when sexism has been a featured topic during the #metoo movement, the irony of a woman performing such a male-centric song is intended to spark discussion about a male-dominated culture that undermines female power. The raw, stripped down performance by Jane N’ The Jungle, has a haunting grit that embodies the controversial film.

The Faim Premiere New Video for “Summer Is a Curse” With Billboard

Los Angeles, CA – Today, The Faim have partnered with Billboard to premiere the official video for “Summer Is A Curse,” the third single from their forthcoming debut album. Watch it exclusively HERE.

The highly-anticipated new video follows frontman Josh Raven and his love interest on the run from the law, eventually escaping before it all goes up in flames. It also showcases the band delivering a stellar live performance with the Welsh countryside as a fitting backdrop.

The song was co-written with Ashton Irwin of 5 Seconds of Summer, and according to Josh, “ ‘Summer is a Curse’ is a reflection of our journey as a band. Being placed out of Australia and in LA for the first time as a band, we got thrown into this whole new world of exciting experiences and pressures. As frightening as it was, and no matter our feelings at home, it became this tunnel vision of realizing that we had this chance to make our dreams a reality. Our music video reflecting that exact same feeling of freedom was so important for us.”

Fans can stream and purchase “Summer Is A Curse” HERE.

Los Angeles-based musician Andrew Goldstein) is excited to share his new single, “Erase.” The upbeat, melodic track is his first new offering in nearly a year and is the first song from his upcoming EP, Before U I Didn’t Exist, out September 28th (via Crooked Paintings/BMG). Fans can stream and purchase “Erase” HERE.

According to Goldstein, “ ‘Erase’ is about someone coming into your life and wiping out lingering sadness from the past. When you realize the effect they have on you, you can’t help but fall for them.

To fully experience the intriguingly glitchy pop of FRND, you need to understand his obsession with koala bears. As surrogates in his videos re-living his experiences, they are depicted sweetly, soulfully, even hallucinogenically. “The koala is almost like an alter ego who represents a version of myself,” explains Goldstein. “They might be chill on the outside, but there’s a lot of emotion. It embodies this journey I’m going through.

Animated avatars notwithstanding, the musings on romantic woe woven through FRND’s intimate 2017 EP, In Your Dreams, proved all-too-human. Its first single, the levitating “Friend” (“My friend….We’ve come to an end”), first captured ears after appearing on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist, subsequently hitting No. 1 on Hype Machine. Meanwhile, the ebbing-and-flowing sting of “Substitute” clocked a staggering 16-plus million streams. (Not surprisingly, Goldstein’s knack for capturing the human spirit by way of sticky hooks previously led him to pen songs for Demi Lovato, Britney Spears, and blackbear.)

“The mastermind behind some of today’s most exciting tracks” – NYLON

This has culminated in FRND’s much-anticipated follow up EP, Before U I Didn’t Exist. A collection of melodic, nuanced tracks, they sort through the disenchantment that permeated In Your Dreams. “You erase/ Erase all the hurt that I felt before,” he sings hopefully on Before U’s first single “Erase,” all percolating beats and sweet nothings. “You replace/ Replace it with something I can’t ignore.”

I called my last project In Your Dreams, because I dreamt about some of these songs over and over again,” he says. “It was an awakening that I didn’t feel until I had those experiences.” Before U I Didn’t Exist attempts to exorcise those ghosts. The intoxicating title track (“Stay with me/ Hold on tight/ Fill my heart with pretty lies…”), for instance, is a relatable portrait of escapism. What it doesn’t deliver in closure, it does provide in a contact high through singsongy vocals and bright synthscapes.

“Always infectious” – Entertainment Weekly

FRND’s pop may not always be pretty, but his journey is an exhilaratingly authentic one—lust, laments, and all. “FRND is really this place you don’t think you’re capable of going until you actually get there,” he says. “You realize how much of life is driven by emotion versus thinking logistically.” In the end, there’s still hope for a happy ending. “Once you navigate through these emotions, you get to the next level. That’s what happened for me,” he adds.
