New York City – Infinity Shred, the NYC-based trio who recently announced the Aug. 23 release of Forever, A Fast Life, debut a video for the song “Long May You Run” via Heavy Blog Is HeavyHERE.
“”Historically, Infinity Shred music videos have been an excuse to make cheeky short films with a sci-fi bent,” explains programmer Damon Hardjowirogo. “With the art direction for our new album, Forever, A Fast Life, leaning more personal than we had been willing to in the past we thought what better time than now to finally do a performance based video that would give us a chance to show off our new lights we built for our tour with Astronoid.
Our art directors, Dean Marcial and Esther Kim decided to shoot this video entirely on a cellphone and we couldn’t be happier with the results.”
Upon last week’s news of the band’s 3DOT Recordings’ debut and “Long May You Run” song stream, MetalSucks said: “The song showcases the elements that have drawn the instrumental outfit such high praise over the past several years, combining dreamy, layered, post-rock soundscapes and retro analogue synth textures with a modern progressive metal backbone.”
Infinity Shred formed in 2012, releasing their debut full-length, Sanctuary, the following year with a sophomore release, Long Distance, arriving in the fall of 2016. Drummer Clara Warnaar joined Damon and guitar player Nathan Ritholz just prior to the release of Long Distance, making Forever, A Fast Life the first release to include input from the full trio. Clara incorporated her classical background, assembling a small orchestra to accompany the three-piece, performing on the album opener “Brutal Luxury,” interlude “Harsh Language” and “What’s Worth Hiding?”

GLORYHAMMER were founded by Alestorm frontman Christopher Bowes in 2009, who spent the next years gathering an international line-up that suited his idea to create a band based conceptually on the fantasy genre and musically fitting generally into the power metal mold. Both aims were achieved stunningly and their debut album, Tales from the Kingdom of Fife released by Napalm Records in 2013 immediately garnered the band high critical acclaim from critics and fans alike. Los Angeles-based producer Daniel Graves has been turning heads with his addictive industrial pop project, Aesthetic Perfection, for nearly two decades. Aesthetic Perfection mastermind Daniel Graves says about “Gods & Gold“: “Gods & Gold was a very challenging song for us to work on. I really wanted to push the envelope here and try something new. We’d been tinkering with it for quite some time and it was just coming up short. Once our friend Richard Kruspe expressed interest in playing on the record, I instantly knew he was the missing puzzle piece. I didn’t even realize I’d had his playing style and vibe in mind when I was writing the track until that very second. Then BOOM, just like magic it all came together. It instantly became our favorite song and obvious choice for the first track on the album. Of course, we’re all enormous Rammstein fans and honored to finally work with Richard in a professional capacity.”

Los Angeles, CA — Soulful pop singer-songwriter, Spencer Sutherland, has released the official music video for his single, “Wallpaper.” The new offering just premiered exclusively on Idolator and can be viewed HERE.
“The ‘Wallpaper’ music video is really saying ‘whatever’ to all the stress in life,” says Spencer. “The video is basically showing how easily your brain can play tricks on you, and then there’s a little twist at the end. I love poking fun at ‘serious’ things because life is not that serious!”
“Wallpaper” appears on Spencer’s debut EP, NONE of this has been about you, which was released last month via BMG. The five-track effort is an introspective journey that spotlights his signature tone and falsetto, reminiscent of the 60s with stripped-down 80s-inspired production. Listeners can hear traces of his major influences on the record, ranging from Marvin Gaye and Bruno Mars, to Prince, Elvis, and The Temptations. Spencer’s honest and relatable approach to lyrics, in tandem with his powerful live performances, culminate in what is being lauded as a fresh new sound in pop.

Spencer kicked off 2019 with a bang and is an artist on the rise, to say the least. After inking his first major record deal, he unveiled his infectious lead single, “Sweater,” which scored impressive Apple Music playlisting including Breaking Pop (Global), Best of The Week (#2 spot), Hot Tracks (#1 Pop spot), Top Songs–Pop, and Beats of the Week. The smooth and lush title track from his debut EP also landed on Apple’s The A-List: Pop (Global), Pure Pop 50, and Breaking Pop (Global). Additionally, Spencer racked up his first New Music Friday playlisting on Spotify with “Freaking Out,” his vulnerable and vibrant latest song.
Spencer played his first ever sold out headline shows earlier this year in New York City and Cincinnati and is currently on the road supporting Jack & Jack on a massive tour across North America. The Faim will be heading back to North American in April and May for their massive tour supporting Black Veil Brides’ frontman, Andy Black, on his solo headline run. The 28-date trek launches on Sunday, April 7 in Sacramento and concludes in Virginia Beach on Friday, May 17. The band will also play in major cities and venues along the tour includingThe El Rey in Los Angeles, The Gramercy Theatre in New York City, and Metro in Chicago. The four-piece was also just confirmed to play Reading & Leeds Festivals in the U.K. for the second year in a row, sharing the BBC Radio 1 Stage with Bastille, CHVRCHES, The Story So Far, and more. PHOENIX — Holy Fawn, the Phoenix-based band who describe themselves as “four creatures making loud heavy pretty noises, release a video for “Dark Stone” as the band’s buzzed about under-the-radar album, Death Spells, gets a proper release via Triple Crown Records (home to Caspian and Covet).

Death Spells initially received a DIY, regional release in 2018, with the band’s friend putting out the 10-song album via his label, Whelmed Records. Word about the young band began to grow out of the Southwest with fans and friends sharing the songs and “Drag Me Into The Woods” video via social media, eventually tipping off a handful of in-the-know writers and musicians.
Stereogum proclaimed it as one of the “Top 50 Records of 2018,” New Noisedubbed it a “sonic adventure,” and Heavy Blog Is Heavy/Arctic Drones’ writer David Zeidler saying, “a little-known indie band from Arizona being touted as the next big thing by respected musicians isn’t something I’m likely to gloss over lightly… I was sufficiently impressed, but it wasn’t until the band released the first single from Death Spells, ‘Arrows’… that I fully realized how exciting and potentially important this band could be.” Thrice’s Riley Breckenridge said he “literally had goosebumps for a majority of my first listen” and Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe offered, “listening from top-to-bottom will take you on a trance-inducing journey.”

Omaha, NE based, alternative rock group, The Party After, have released a debut single, “Philophobic” on Valentine’s Day. They quickly teamed up with director/producer David M. Weiss and producer Angela Root with D.M.Weiss Productions to pair with the song a music video that would inspire humor through creative visual themes and a song that digs deep into the unpleasant sides of attraction.
This new tune, mixed and mastered by Grammy-nominee Tom Ware at Warehouse Productions, is a story of the darker side of love and of the negative emotions that can come attached to it. The video revolves around a newly formed relationship between the mythological beast known as Sasquatch and a beautiful, blonde woman (Gina Comparetto) who seems poised to turn this hairy wonder into her ideal man. Social pressures and self expectation can drive you to a point of feeling hollow inside if you don’t meet specific standards in your mind. The song itself actually has a positive message built into it. It’s not about feeling hollow, it’s more about preventing that hollow feeling that any one of us can develop through negative thinking and limited beliefs.”
Fans can expect many surprises as they unveil more music. RVPcontinues: “As for ‘Hollow’, musically it represents the catchier side of Imonolith’s music. We have varying influences spread throughout the band and we don’t like to play just one style of music. We have a more metal crushing side, a catchier radio side and then music that fits in-between our heavy and catchier vibes. We always aim to make Imonolith’s overall sound diverse and interesting. Most of all, we’re always focused on trying to write a great song, no matter if it’s heavy or catchy.”
Imonolith was officially formed in February 2018 by drummer Ryan ‘RVP’ Van Poederooyen and guitarist Brian Waddell, although the pair started writing their own brand of heavy music in 2015 whilst playing together in the Devin Townsend Project. RVP and Waddell then went on to recruit vocalist Jon Howard, bassist Byron Stroud, and second guitarist Kai Huppunen, completing a fearsome line-up. The Canadian quintet have since written a mass of highly diverse material, which appeals to everyone from the metalhead to the radio rock fan, and everyone in between.

Dead Label has made a widespread impact in the North American metal underground and European metal mainstream since their formation in 2008 – performing on huge festivals like Bloodstock UK, Download, Made of Metal and Japan’s Rocktoberfest, and touring with massive bands like Machine Head, Gojira, DevilDriver and Fear Factory.
Today, Dead Label is at it again – releasing a cinematic new music video for their heavy-hitting, groove-laden latest single, “False Messiah”. The track serves as a precursor to their upcoming third album, hitting retailers this summer. Experience “False Messiah” here:
The “False Messiah” video was created by Grupa13 of Poland.
In a group statement, Dead Label offers, “We have been huge fans of Grupa13 for a long time. Their work is incredible. When we sent them the track, they came back with this idea and it was perfect for the lyrics and theme of the song. When we arrived in Wroclaw to film the video, we were met with the upmost professionalism and respect.”
The track “False Messiah” was recorded by Michael Richards at Trackmix Studios, mixed by Chris Rakestraw, and mastered by Dan Bacigalupi. The band adds about the track, “We feel this track showcases other elements of our sound, and is a little taste of what to expect from the album. However, this is just the beginning!”
Introducing New Guitarist Mick Hynes
Additionally, the “False Messiah” video serves as an introduction to the band’s newest member, guitarist Mick Hynes. After years of performing as a three-piece, Dead Label decided to add a second guitar player into the mix. “We toured a lot as a three-piece, so this is a huge shift for Dead Label, but ultimately one that allows us more depth and a bigger, heavier, louder sound. Mick is the perfect fit for us – his talent, ambition, drive and enthusiasm is everything we need for Dead Label.”
Dead Label has a busy touring schedule planned for 2019, including an appearance at MetalDays festival in Slovenia this summer, and more festivals to be announced. Stay tuned for more coming from Dead Label soon!
