Torche Stream “Admission” Via Billboard; North American Tour Begins July 8

Miami, FL – Torche reveal a third track “Admission” (July 12, Relapse Records), debuting the album’s title track via Billboard HERE.

“This is a song where the music and the lyrics are a perfect match,” explains guitar player Jon Nunez in the accompanying article. “It’s as if they were meant to go together. What I was going through at the time really came through in the song, and the music I gave Steve definitely brought out some rather painful emotions for him [regarding] losing loved ones and the process you go through after. You could even hear a quiver in Steve’s voice, and it was like, ‘Wow, this is something we haven’t done before.’ Steve tends to be really secretive with his lyrics. He needed a little bit of a push, but I think deep down inside he wanted to get this off his chest.”

The band has given two previous previews of music from the 11-song album with streams of the songs “Slide” and “Times Missing”. The trio of tracks are available as instant downloads with digital pre-orders. Admission is available in various formats (CD/LP/CS/Digital) with several limited edition vinyl versions already sold out. More information can be found via Relapse’s webstore. Admission’s cover art was created by Richard Vergez, a Cuban-American visual artist, whose work has been shown at No Romance Galleries (TriBeCa), Urban Arts Society (Chicago) and Kids of Dada (London).

Torche released their fourth album, and Relapse Records’ debut, Restarter in 2015. The collection found the band on most year-end best of lists with Entertainment Weekly describing the album as “gloriously fuzzy, sludgy, hard-hitting” and calling the band members “four of loud rock’s most adroit genre-benders.” The Washington Post called Restarterotherworldly” and the Chicago Tribune saying “Torche’s music connects muscle, songcraft and drive in a way that few bands of recent vintage can match.

Infinity Shred Debut “Long May You Run” Video Via Heavy Blog Is Heavy

New York City – Infinity Shred, the NYC-based trio who recently announced the Aug. 23 release of Forever, A Fast Life, debut a video for the song “Long May You Run” via Heavy Blog Is Heavy HERE.

“”Historically, Infinity Shred music videos have been an excuse to make cheeky short films with a sci-fi bent,” explains programmer Damon Hardjowirogo. “With the art direction for our new album, Forever, A Fast Life, leaning more personal than we had been willing to in the past we thought what better time than now to finally do a performance based video that would give us a chance to show off our new lights we built for our tour with Astronoid.

Our art directors, Dean Marcial and Esther Kim decided to shoot this video entirely on a cellphone and we couldn’t be happier with the results.”

Upon last week’s news of the band’s 3DOT Recordings’ debut and “Long May You Run” song stream, MetalSucks said: “The song showcases the elements that have drawn the instrumental outfit such high praise over the past several years, combining dreamy, layered, post-rock soundscapes and retro analogue synth textures with a modern progressive metal backbone.”

Infinity Shred formed in 2012, releasing their debut full-length, Sanctuary, the following year with a sophomore release, Long Distance, arriving in the fall of 2016. Drummer Clara Warnaar joined Damon and guitar player Nathan Ritholz just prior to the release of Long Distance, making Forever, A Fast Life the first release to include input from the full trio. Clara incorporated her classical background, assembling a small orchestra to accompany the three-piece, performing on the album opener “Brutal Luxury,” interlude “Harsh Language” and “What’s Worth Hiding?

Album pre-orders, which include an instant download of “Long May You Run,” are available now via the 3DOT webstore HERE.

Simple Creatures Release New Track “Special”

Los Angeles, CA — Simple Creatures, comprised of long-time friends Mark Hoppus (blink-182) and Alex Gaskarth (All Time Low), release a new track, “Special” today. The first offering from EP2 (due out later this year) was produced by Zakk Cervini, and is available to download HERE.

The band will make their highly anticipated festival debut this Saturday, headlining the “Avalanche” stage at Download Festival in the U.K. after playing a few intimate club shows earlier this year in a few select cities across the U.S. and in London.

Mark and Alex released their debut EP, Strange Love, in March.

You can listen to the EP HERE.

About Simple Creatures

Simple Creatures evolved from a long-standing friendship and a musical kinship. Hoppus and Gaskarth took a beat from their individual bands to have some fun in the studio, and came away with a new band with a new sound.

“On paper, this collaboration between two of pop-punk’s most recognizable and commercially powerful songwriters should have proved entirely predictable – a crush of pit-friendly anthems and surging riffola. Except their latest out is anything but. The first single, ‘Drug’… an explosive rush of heavy-hearted pop that clatters and crackles with programmed drum breaks, scuzzy guitars and skittering melodies, with both singers sharing vocal duties,” wrote Kerrang!

French Deathcore Heavyweights Betraying The Martyrs Return to North America for Summer Rapture Tour

French deathcore heavyweights Betraying The Martyrs will return to American shores this summer for their first-ever headline tour of North America. The “Summer Rapture Tour 2019,” also featuring support from Entheos, Within Destruction, Sentinels and Defying Decay, will kick off on June 28 in Stanhope, N.J.

A Preview of What’s to Come On the “Summer Rapture Tour

We are beyond excited to cover US soil on our first full US headlining tour,” says vocalist Aaron Matts. “To be able to play a full energetic set to an audience that has been with us since day one is an absolute honor for us! Along with a stacked line-up of sick bands, we’re all stoked to get on the road! Come to a show and lose yourselves with us all, see you all in the pit!”

The band recently also announced a new partnership with Chris Adler‘s management company, Kintsugi Management and is working on a new album. Betraying The Martyrs will play new songs from the upcoming album for the very first time on this tour.

Kintsugi is proud to be working with Betraying The Martyrs,” Adler says. “I’m honestly excited to be working with a group of friends with a united vision. Betraying The Martyrs is doing something very special. It’s labeled metalcore because it’s easy to put every band in a box, but in this case, that is a mistake. They have taken time to study and have salvaged and fine-tuned all that I love in metal music. It’s an exciting time for the band. We believe in the guys and there’s an incredible new album soon to drop. The band continues to grow a dedicated, international fan base via their hard work, vision and brutally contagious music. The new Betraying The Martyrs album is going to change the game. I’m sincerely thrilled to be involved with a group of people that focus and deliver.”

Matts adds, “We are beyond excited to announce our collaboration with the legendary Chris Adler and Kintsugi Management. To be on board the same ship as Chris and his incredible team has breathed new life into what we do. Their backing support goes beyond anything we have known previously. It’s truly an honor. With our next release in the barrel and ready to be fired into the world, we could not be any more prepared for the road ahead. We announce our signature to Kintsugi with great pride.”

The Paris-based band’s last album, The Resilient, was released via Sumerian Records in 2017 and showcased a unique songwriting dynamic unrivalled within their genre. Followed by worldwide touring in support of the record, Betraying The Martyrs cemented their position as the European Kings of 21st Century Metal.

Enter to win two tickets to any show on the tour, special merchandise packs, a visit with the band on their tour bus and a soundcheck experience with Betraying The Martyrs HERE.

The 2014 sophomore album, Phantom, and its ensuing tours seasoned Betraying The Martyrs into a venerable freight-train of aggression with blazing harmonies, captivating hooks and bombastic off-time precision. Baroness Unveil Gold & Grey Via NPR

Baroness’ highly-anticipated album, Gold & Grey, is streaming now via NPR HERE.

Baroness Gold & Grey Album Cover
Baroness Gold & Grey Album Cover

The 17-track release which arrives this Friday is described by NPR as “…Baroness has redigested every sound of the band’s career thus far and synthesized it into something greater. Gold & Grey is the sound of a band becoming a universe unto itself.” Mojo dubbed the album “an epic beast,” Stereogum referred to it as “anthemic” and MetalSucks said the collection “perfectly encapsulates how Baroness excel at reaching shining peaks and descending into gloomy valleys.” Baroness have recently been featured on the covers of Decibel Magazine, Kerrang! and Loud!, while Revolver will debut a series of collectible covers later this month.

“This is the most clear representation of the artistic vision I have for the band that we’ve ever done,” explains singer/guitar player John Baizley. “Where Purple was me lyrically trying to work out how to adjust to a new normal, I think Gold & Grey is a more grown-up and more subtle collection of words that reflect how I am trying to deal with the longer term effects of having experienced so many terrible things. I choose to use the band as a place where I can take all of this stress, pain, anxiety, all these realities, and make them something good.”

Baroness is in the midst of a tour of Northeastern U.S. independent record stores, performing acoustically this evening at Philadelphia’s Creep Records, with a full band performance slated for Brooklyn’s Rough Trade on release date. Ellen Krauss Signs To BMG And Releases New Single, “On The Bus”

Los Angeles, CA – BMG Recorded Music is excited to announce the new partnership with indie label, Tiller Inc., and the signing of Swedish pop singer-songwriter, Ellen Krauss! With her self-taught talent and captivating way of delivering norm-challenging messages, the outspoken 18-year-old pop promise is a fresh example of the young DIY generation. Ellen’s new single, “On The Bus,” a teenage love song about unrequited love, is out today and is available to stream and download HERE.

Listen to “The One I Love”:

Spotify | Apple Music | Amazon | Google Play
Deezer | TIDAL | Napster

Before releasing any music, Ellen received praise from music icons Carly Rae Jepsen, Max Martin, and Laleh when she was awarded Rookie Artist of the Year at the Denniz Pop Awards in Sweden. Her debut single and LGBTQ acceptance anthem, “The One I Love,” has already racked up over one million total global streams since its release in April and was added to over 1,500 playlists so far, including Spotify’s New Music Friday (Sweden).

Since the age of four, Ellen has been one with the guitar and spent the majority of her youth secretly writing songs in her room at home in Stockholm, or in South Africa where her family occasionally lived, drawing inspiration from diverse artists such as Ed Sheeran, King Princess, Dire Straits, and Bruce Springsteen. Industrial Pop Outfit AESTHETIC PERFECTION Reveals Eccentric Music Video for “Gods & Gold”, Featuring Guitars by Richard Z. Kruspe of RAMMSTEIN

Los Angeles-based producer Daniel Graves has been turning heads with his addictive industrial pop project, Aesthetic Perfection, for nearly two decades. Since forming in 2000, Graves has released five full-length albums, numerous singles and music videos, all the while reinventing what it means to be a dark electro artist. Blending industrial, pop, goth, and everything in between, Aesthetic Perfection defies definitions in a world that demands them.

Today marks the release of the visually stunning and eccentric new music video for “Gods & Gold“, an instantly gripping industrial pop crossover anthem with an unforgettable hook that listeners will be humming for days. The track features scorching guitars by the inimitable Richard Z. Kruspe of Rammstein, who adds an extra aggressive punch to the tune. Watch the deliciously avant garde video now via Alternative Press HERE.

Aesthetic Perfection mastermind Daniel Graves says about “Gods & Gold“:Gods & Gold was a very challenging song for us to work on. I really wanted to push the envelope here and try something new. We’d been tinkering with it for quite some time and it was just coming up short. Once our friend Richard Kruspe expressed interest in playing on the record, I instantly knew he was the missing puzzle piece. I didn’t even realize I’d had his playing style and vibe in mind when I was writing the track until that very second. Then BOOM, just like magic it all came together. It instantly became our favorite song and obvious choice for the first track on the album. Of course, we’re all enormous Rammstein fans and honored to finally work with Richard in a professional capacity.”

Aesthetic Perfection Into The Black

Gods & Gold” is cut from Aesthetic Perfection‘s fifth and latest studio album, Into The Black, which hit stores everywhere on March 29 via Close to Human Music. Featuring an all-star cast of collaborators such as the aforementioned Richard Z. Kruspe, Jinxx of Black Veil Brides, Mick Kenney of Anaal Nathrakh and Krischan Wesenberg of Rotersand, Into The Black is the most mature Aesthetic Perfection album to date. Fans can order Into The Black and “Gods & Gold” now via Apple Music, Amazon and Bandcamp. Physical editions and merch are available HERE, and the album can be streamed via Spotify.

Into The Black features acclaimed drummer Joe Letz, recognized for his work with artists such as Emigrate (also featuring Richard Z. Kruspe), Combichrist, Wednesday 13, Genitorturers and several other top heavy music artists.

Dark and gritty, yet undeniably catchy and melodic, Into The Black builds upon the band’s past while solidly keeping its eyes focused on the future. From the haunting electronic melodies of “Supernatural” to the twangy guitars of “Echoes“, from the punch-to-the-gut beat of “No Boys Allowed” to the soaring highs of “Mourning Doves“, Daniel Graves takes the transgressive art form known as industrial pop to the next level.

Aesthetic Perfection will head out on a full North American headline tour beginning September 6, 2019 in San Diego, CA. The tour will feature support artist Empathy Test and will visit over a month’s-worth of cities, coming to a close in Los Angeles, CA on October 19.
