The Faim Share “Humans” Music Video

Los Angeles, CA – In anticipation of their long-awaited debut album, State of Mind, The Faim have unveiled the official music video for lead single, “Humans,” today. The cinematic offering dives into the world of science fiction while also highlighting a visually stunning band performance. The video follows the four-piece as they’re taken captive by a government organization and subjected to tests to determine if they are human or android. To escape, they’ll need the help of someone who’s more than human…watch all the action unfold HERE.

“Creating the music video for our latest single, ‘Humans,’ was our favorite shoot to date,” says Stephen Beerkens (bass/keys). “We worked with an amazing team in Los Angeles, who helped capture the entire video in just one day. The concept represents us searching for both our differences and the things we have in common, which also encapsulates the essence of the song: what it means to be human,” he explains.

Following the release of last year’s debut EP, Summer Is a Curse, The Faim wasted no time creating music for their first full-length effort, State of Mind, due on September 13 via BMG. The album includes eight brand new tracks in addition to previously-released singles, “Summer Is a Curse” and “Amelie.” If you were able to catch The Faim on tour in the U.S. earlier this year, you may have also heard them play “Beautiful Drama” and “Infamous,” two additional fan favorites on the record. The complete track listing can be found below. The Faim will also be unveiling more new music soon in advance of the album release. The Faim Reveal New Single, “Humans,” from Upcoming Debut Album

First Full-length Record, State of Mind,
to Be Released September 13 via BMG

Los Angeles, CA — The Faim have shared “Humans,” the first single from their forthcoming debut album, State of Mind, which will be released on Friday, September 13 via BMG. The track was produced with Patrick Morrisey (Weezer, Pharrell, Hayley Kiyoko) and David Dahlquist (Aurora, Fletcher) in New York and Los Angeles, and includes a great balance of unique pop-rock sounds, rounded out with lush live band elements and a massive, resonant chorus. Stream and download “Humans” HERE, and pre-order/pre-save State of Mind HERE.

“ ‘Humans’ is about embracing the unique qualities that make up who we are, from our individual character and personality traits, to our strengths and weaknesses. These diverse characteristics, and how they evolve throughout our lives, show us what it means to be human and how connected we all actually are,” the band explains.

The Faim unveiled their debut EP, Summer Is a Curse, last year and wasted no time creating music for their first full-length effort, State of Mind. Over the course of two years, the group worked with numerous writers and producers to craft a collection of songs that showcase a vast range of styles and tones. The tracks, recorded mostly in Los Angeles in various studios, reveal how The Faim has evolved since their inception. The lyrics come from emotions or experiences personal to the musicians as a whole, with each song centering on an idea that’s relatable to both themselves and their listeners. Overall, State of Mind reveals a band on the rise, and a group of artists who are all about making genuine songs that bring people together and create a community.

“We write from an honest place, and that’s something we always want to stay true to,” says frontman, Josh Raven. “It has to resonate with us for it be relatable to our fans. On this album it was about connecting with ourselves and exploring our influences and our own talent. If we stick to who we are and what we feel, hopefully everyone else will find something in the music too,” he elaborates.

Simple Creatures Release New Track “Special”

Los Angeles, CA — Simple Creatures, comprised of long-time friends Mark Hoppus (blink-182) and Alex Gaskarth (All Time Low), release a new track, “Special” today. The first offering from EP2 (due out later this year) was produced by Zakk Cervini, and is available to download HERE.

The band will make their highly anticipated festival debut this Saturday, headlining the “Avalanche” stage at Download Festival in the U.K. after playing a few intimate club shows earlier this year in a few select cities across the U.S. and in London.

Mark and Alex released their debut EP, Strange Love, in March.

You can listen to the EP HERE.

About Simple Creatures

Simple Creatures evolved from a long-standing friendship and a musical kinship. Hoppus and Gaskarth took a beat from their individual bands to have some fun in the studio, and came away with a new band with a new sound.

“On paper, this collaboration between two of pop-punk’s most recognizable and commercially powerful songwriters should have proved entirely predictable – a crush of pit-friendly anthems and surging riffola. Except their latest out is anything but. The first single, ‘Drug’… an explosive rush of heavy-hearted pop that clatters and crackles with programmed drum breaks, scuzzy guitars and skittering melodies, with both singers sharing vocal duties,” wrote Kerrang!

Spencer Sutherland Premieres New Music Video For “Wallpaper”

Los Angeles, CA — Soulful pop singer-songwriter, Spencer Sutherland, has released the official music video for his single, “Wallpaper.” The new offering just premiered exclusively on Idolator and can be viewed HERE.

“The ‘Wallpaper’ music video is really saying ‘whatever’ to all the stress in life,” says Spencer. “The video is basically showing how easily your brain can play tricks on you, and then there’s a little twist at the end. I love poking fun at ‘serious’ things because life is not that serious!”

Wallpaper” appears on Spencer’s debut EP, NONE of this has been about you, which was released last month via BMG. We’ve been able to fuse genres and aesthetic together to create a defined nocturnal bliss of our own, blending dreamy melodies with moody progressions, all the while touching on subjects from drug abuse to romantic pieces.”

The Faim To Join Andy Black On Spring North American Tour

Los Angeles, CA – Rising pop-rock group, The Faim, will be joining Black Veil Brides’ frontman, Andy Black, on a massive North American tour this spring in support of their debut EP, Summer Is a Curse (2018 via BMG). The band will provide direct support on the 28-date trek runs that throughout April and May, kicking off in Sacramento, CA on Sunday, April 7 and wrapping in Virginia Beach, VA on Friday, May 17. The run also hits major cities including Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York, Chicago, and Toronto. The full list of shows is included below. Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 15 and can be purchased HERE.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be supporting Andy Black on his tour across the USA and Canada! These will be our first ever Canadian shows and our second tour of the U.S., so we’re looking forward to performing for both familiar and brand new faces on the road,” says the band.

The Faim have also released the official music video for “Fire,” the lead single from their forthcoming debut album. The ‘fire’ in the song refers to the quartet’s burning passion to create, express themselves, and grow as musicians. The video was filmed just south of London and captures frontman Josh Raven at different stages in his life. The footage also features an energetic and engaging live performance from the band, highlighting that inner drive and desire to succeed. Fans can watch the new offering HERE, and the song is available to stream and download on digital retailers HERE.

Fire” has already secured notable playlisting, including Spotify’s New Music Friday (France, Netherlands), New Noise, and Pop Rock Shot, as well as Apple Music’s Breaking Alternative (40 countries), A-List Alternative (Germany), and Best of the Week (Austria). “Make Believe,” a standout track from the group’s Summer Is a Curse EP, was also played on a recent episode of Legacies on The CW and subsequently landed on Spotify’s Film & TV Favorites sync playlist.
