French Deathcore Heavyweights Betraying The Martyrs Return to North America for Summer Rapture Tour

French deathcore heavyweights Betraying The Martyrs will return to American shores this summer for their first-ever headline tour of North America. The “Summer Rapture Tour 2019,” also featuring support from Entheos, Within Destruction, Sentinels and Defying Decay, will kick off on June 28 in Stanhope, N.J.

A Preview of What’s to Come On the “Summer Rapture Tour

We are beyond excited to cover US soil on our first full US headlining tour,” says vocalist Aaron Matts. “To be able to play a full energetic set to an audience that has been with us since day one is an absolute honor for us! Along with a stacked line-up of sick bands, we’re all stoked to get on the road! Come to a show and lose yourselves with us all, see you all in the pit!”

The band recently also announced a new partnership with Chris Adler‘s management company, Kintsugi Management and is working on a new album. Betraying The Martyrs will play new songs from the upcoming album for the very first time on this tour.

Kintsugi is proud to be working with Betraying The Martyrs,” Adler says. “I’m honestly excited to be working with a group of friends with a united vision. Betraying The Martyrs is doing something very special. It’s labeled metalcore because it’s easy to put every band in a box, but in this case, that is a mistake. They have taken time to study and have salvaged and fine-tuned all that I love in metal music. It’s an exciting time for the band. We believe in the guys and there’s an incredible new album soon to drop. The band continues to grow a dedicated, international fan base via their hard work, vision and brutally contagious music. The new Betraying The Martyrs album is going to change the game. I’m sincerely thrilled to be involved with a group of people that focus and deliver.”

Matts adds, “We are beyond excited to announce our collaboration with the legendary Chris Adler and Kintsugi Management. To be on board the same ship as Chris and his incredible team has breathed new life into what we do. Their backing support goes beyond anything we have known previously. It’s truly an honor. With our next release in the barrel and ready to be fired into the world, we could not be any more prepared for the road ahead. We announce our signature to Kintsugi with great pride.”

The Paris-based band’s last album, The Resilient, was released via Sumerian Records in 2017 and showcased a unique songwriting dynamic unrivalled within their genre. Followed by worldwide touring in support of the record, Betraying The Martyrs cemented their position as the European Kings of 21st Century Metal.

The 2014 sophomore album, Phantom, and its ensuing tours seasoned Betraying The Martyrs into a venerable freight-train of aggression with blazing harmonies, captivating hooks and bombastic off-time precision. The album also opened the doors to an entirely new audience with the unlikely cover of Frozen’s “Let it Go.”

YOB Share Amoeba Green Room Session + Kick off North American Tour On Tuesday

Oregon – YOB, who kick off a new round of North American tour dates on Tuesday, share a recently taped Amoeba Green Room session. The session was filmed during the band’s previous national tour and features the songs “The Lie That is Sin,” “Breathing from the Shallows,” and “Our Raw Heart,” the title track from the band’s critically-acclaimed 2018 album. View the session HERE.

Born in Berkeley, CA in 1990, Amoeba Music Hollywood is the world’s largest independent record store. Nestled deep inside Amoeba Hollywood is its Green Room, home for each of its visiting artists and an intimate performance space. Amoeba’s Green Room Sessions have featured stripped down, acoustic performances by Julien Baker, First Aid Kit, and Father John Misty, as well as full-throttle, powerhouse electric sets from Youth Code, U.S. Girls, and The Heavy.

Album Success

Our Raw Heart surfaced on a wide range of best of 2018 lists, nabbing the #1 spot in Decibel Magazine’s extensive year-end issue, as well as receiving nods from NPR, Rolling Stone, ArtForum, Mashable, New York Magazine’s Vulture, Noisey, Treble and more.

Consequence of Sound’s Heavy Consequence said of the album that they placed at the top of their 2018 countdown:Our Raw Heart… possesses a serene almost uplifting quality,”
while PopMatters, who also placed the release at the top of their Best Metal of 2018 list, said “… true art… offers us an insight into the most frightening of human emotions. Our Raw Heart acts as a portal to another’s pain…”

YOB‘s eighth album, Our Raw Heart, is a riveting document of Scheidt‘s year,” said Rolling Stone in an online feature. “A gauntlet of sickness and health, clarity and confusion, the record wrestles with mortality and ultimately perseveres.” Decibel Magazine, in their July cover story said “one of the byproducts” of Scheidt’s illness “is a brilliant new album that takes the YOB blueprint of punishingly heavy, delightfully angular doom/sludge into unexplored areas of heart-breaking melody and triumphant resolve.” The album has won accolades from the Associated Press (“Yob… swing effortlessly between menacing distortion and hushed reverie”), NPR (“…the group’s sprawling gravity and thunderous majesty have taken an introspective turn…”), Pitchfork (“…metal that sounds sensuous, bellicose, and jubilant all at once”).

North American Tour

Tickets, as well as exclusive ticket and merch bundles, are on-sale now. The bundles, which can be found via YOB‘s website, include an entry ticket, an exclusive t-shirt as well as the option of vinyl or CD versions of Our Raw Heart.

Nearly 15 years into a career in which everything they’ve accomplished was earned and nothing was taken for granted, Incite bridges the gap between various metal sub-genres, but one thing is for certain – you will be banging your head in no time. This is a band who will open for Gorgoroth one night and Cancer Bats the next, converting true-believers out of everyone who crosses their path.

As renegade disciples of trailblazing metal architects like Pantera, Slayer, Sepultura, and Machine Head, Incite raises the torch for trend-killing and hipster-smashing metal. Incite is as much a part of the fabric of the style championed by Lamb of God as the surge of newer bands like Power Trip. Incite perfected their signature brand of extreme sounds by playing shows with DevilDriver, Crowbar, Brujeria, Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy, and Six Feet Under.

SUICIDAL TENDENCIES Announces CONVERSE Footwear and Apparel + Reveals New Track

Heavy music legends Suicidal Tendencies recently announced the upcoming release of their latest album, STill Cyco Punk After All These Years, out September 7, 2018. STill Cyco Punk After All These Years is a re-recording and re-imagining of a Cyco Miko (Mike Muir) solo album recorded in 1995, originally entitled Lost my Brain! (Once Again). The album is an auditory time capsule – a full-on Cyco Punk record taken to a whole new level – featuring legendary drummer Dave Lombardo brutally beating the songs and sound that is made to get your slam on.

In conjunction with the release, Suicidal Tendencies is pleased to reveal details about their upcoming Converse collaboration. The new Converse x Suicidal Tendencies collection will be available the same date as the new album, September 7, via Converse.com and select retailers. To celebrate, in Converse’s hometown of Boston, the collection will be available at Bodega Boston, in a pop-up on September 6 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on September 7 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 AM, before the Suicidal Tendencies show at the House of Blues in Boston.

Vocalist Mike Muir‘s relationship with Converse started long before Suicidal Tendencies. “When I was young, I still remember getting my first pair of ‘Chucks’ for my birthday and how stoked I was to wear them to school the next day,” says Muir, reflecting on the iconic sneaker. “It was almost like a rite of passage, the beautiful thing about them is whatever ‘direction’ you were headed, you could go there with your Chucks.

Converse x Suicidal Tendencies is a collection of Chuck 70’s and accompanying apparel based on digital and screen-printed graphics in the classic style of Ric Clayton, who designed posters and fliers for the band back in the ’80s. The Chuck 70 HI’s vintage canvas upper features an all-over digital print and the Suicidal Tendencies leather patch on the lateral side. An Ox version, comes in black with an all over digitally-printed lining. The Suicidal Tendencies logo is printed on the tongue and heel. Both the Hi and the Ox pair feature two sets of additional laces including a Suicidal Tendencies printed logo lace.

All apparel, which feature original, screen printed Suicidal Tendencies artwork, include a woven poplin shirt, two pull over hoodies, a pair of sweatpants, a pair of sweatshorts, one long sleeve tee, and two short sleeve tees.

The footwear will retail for a suggested retail price of $90-$95 USD. Apparel will retail for SRP of $35-$80 USD.

“All these years later, Converse has the same meaning to me,” adds Mike Muir. “Just as young Mike will never forget putting on his first pair of Chucks, I can’t wait to relive that amazing feeling with the new Converse x Suicidal Tendencies, a massively proud moment for the band, our fans and of course me personally!”
